Community Impact

Kappa Phi Lambda places a heavy emphasis on service and is committed to giving back through its Chapters and Associate Chapters across the nation. We nationally support CARE, a leading humanitarian organization fighting global poverty and local charities and nonprofit organizations through our Chapters and Associate Chapters. Members host, facilitate and participate in charity fundraisers and local community service projects.

National Leadership
Active and Alumna sisters volunteer in a variety of chapter and national leadership positions to advance the national sorority’s mission. From joining a department to running for a Board of Directors position, there is an abundance of positions available! Stepping up to volunteer your time, insights and skills helps both you and the sorority grow. By volunteering in a variety of roles, you will meet sisters across the globe, pick up new useful skills and expand your network outside of your local chapter.

Local Event Support
Sisters volunteer hours toward local nonprofit events such as festivals, event fundraisers and food drives that aim to help people and specific charities in need. Local community service projects include community cleanup, helping run a blood drive, hosting a bake sale on campus or executing a fundraising benefit talent show, sisters across the nation constantly look for ways to give back to their communities.

Philanthropy
Each local Chapter and Associate Chapter work toward raising funds for CARE, Kappa Phi Lambda Sorority’s national philanthropy while also supporting a local charity or nonprofit organization. Sisters run a variety of sales (baked goods, apparel, tickets) to raise funds toward CARE every year to help support CARE’s mission to save lives, defeat poverty and achieve social justice.
