Statement on UNR Chapter
June 26, 2020 — On Thursday, June 25th, allegations regarding sexual harassment and sexual misconduct involving members at our Alpha Theta Chapter at the University of Nevada, Reno was publicly shared on a Twitter account.The National Board of Kappa Phi Lambda Sorority, Inc. is aware of these allegations. As a result of this, an investigation will be conducted by the National Board to thoroughly review any misconduct. The chapter’s operations at the University of Nevada, Reno have been temporarily suspended until further notice pending the results of the investigation. We do not condone any behavior related to sexual assault or sexual violence in any form and is a direct violation of our Sexual Violence and Assault Policy outlined in our National Risk Management Policy.
